This comm works like any kink meme. The more general name just means that we don't only allow hard kink, but also everything else.

Ok, everyone. The poll is now closed and it has decided that we are moving to Dreamwidth. Also, an anon was nice enough to get me some paid time so I can move the comm right away, so THANK YOU, ANON! :)

Anyway, as soon as this has gone up and I've ETA'd the current meme post, I'm going to see about moving th comm to dreamwidth.

For those of you still seeking to make an account there, I don't think they've put invite codes back in use yet. If they have, there are comms on lj and other places on the net where people offer their invite codes.

However, you do not necessarily need a dw account to continue participating in the meme.

concerning the Delicious archive

Hi everyone.

As some of you might know and have seen, Delicious (formerly owned by yahoo) has been taken over by a new company (AVOS) and changed completely.

When the migration to the new servers was announced it was agree or lose the archive, so of course I agreed. At that point I didn't know how badly prepared AVOS was for the takeover and that most promised new features would be incomplete and some of the old ones missing completely. In addition, their support services are practically impossible to contact unless you have an email programme (such as Outlook) on your computer. Which I don't.

I am fed up with this and therefore moving the archive to a more reliable source *knocks on wood*; livejournal.

This will take a while, but will bring with it one huge advantage. Everyone will be able to help archive new prompts and fills. This means that archiving will hopefully be faster and more complete.

So please be patien. I know Delicious is a mess and the tags aren't there, but unfortunately I can't do anything about it, currently.

Rules Update

Hi everyone. The recent poll on some of our rules is now closed. And now that lj is up and running again, I can finally post the results. Thanks for everyone who participated. These are the new rules and changes that are a result of this poll.

- With 70 above 58 votes it has been decided that there will be a limit to 4thing, 5thing etc. This means if you see that a prompt is seconded and thirded please do not continue this row.

- With 108 above 12 votes it has been decided that there will be some freeze periods.

- With 80 above 24 votes it has been decided that there will be a week's break between every round in which, however, fills can continue for all previous rounds.

These rules stand as of today.

I would also like to remind everyone to stay anonymous on the meme posts at all times, prompting and filling. As of today, all non-anonymous comments will from now on be deleted without warning.

And, as this issue has been recently brought to my attention, a note on constructive criticism.

If you insist on critiquing someone's story, here's some good, easy guidelines:

Bad, non-constructive criticism: "Your formatting sucks. Do it differently."
Guidelines for good constructive criticism:

1. Post about what you liked about the story.
2. Politely state what you didn't like as much.
3. Make a suggestion how you think it would have been better.

In need of Delicious updaters

Hiya, everyone.

Well, the first freeze period is over and I can say it's been successful. Even without it we were and are getting a nice amount of fills in. And ever more prompts. I'm still working on the archive, but there'still a back log I haven't managed to work through yet.

Now I'm looking for a support team to help with keeping the archive updated. What I'm basically looking for is "a person a day".

One person takes over updating the archive for one day a week, every week. I will need someone for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I'll be taking over Saturdays, for now, and working through what prompts and fills are left from before.

I'm not expecting much, really. Delicious is easy to work. The one thing I need is that you're able to commit yourself and your time to this.

So, if you're interested, leave a comment here with which day you would like to update for. Since we only have a limited number, it will be first come, first serve basis.

It would also be great if we could get some backup updaters. Again, first come, first serve, but if you see the day you wanted to update for is already taken, please let us know if you'd be willing to do backup in case the designated updater can't make it.

Once the updaters have been chosen, I'll PM everyone with more information and release a list of updaters and backups.

So, hoping we'll soon have a nice team going here. :)

In the discussion post someone was requesting a beta reader so we thought it would be a good idea to have a beta reading post.

For now, this will probably work by you anonymously posting your fic or excerpts of it to be beta read and people commenting on it anonymously with their corrections/ideas for improvement.

MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: Rules

Good morning, anons.

I'm very happy with the way this meme has taken off. We're getting many awesome prompts and fills and some interesting discussion going already. We've filled about 8 pages on the Delicious archives and are growing fast in the numbers of members, watchers, and anons.

However, as the community grows, so does the likelyhood of problems and I've already seen some comments on the meme and the discussion post that don't sit right with me.

So, here to reiterate some important rules:

Anonymity on this meme does not give you a free pass to insult or flame others, be it about their opinions, kinks, or anything else and it will not allow you be nasty to them in any way. This goes for the anon meme posts as well as the discussion post and all others.

This means:

1. No kink shaming. None. We all realise the rule "Your Kink Is Not My Kink" and I insist that this meme work by this rule. So, if you see a kink that you don't like or that doesn't jive with your view, scroll past and don't comment. We'll all see those kinks once in a while and I hope everyone here is mature enough to live with that.

2. Something very similar goes for the discussion posts. There will always be people who do not share your opinion and you will not always share theirs. That's fine; it's how the world works. However, it does not permit you to insult anyone. If you insist on disagreeing, that's alright. Just do it in a civil and mature way.

3. Name calling, insults, unnecessarily wanky comments... Up to now I've seen an "ew" comment on a kink and some name calling and disrespect of opinions on the discussion post. Stop it.

There's a difference between "I disagree with what you are saying" and "Oh my god, you're such an idiotic retard and your kink is so wrong. You're disgusting and should go die in a fire."

See the difference? I think you do.

So, no calling anyone retarded or an idiot or anything insulting.

TL; DR: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. If you disagree with someone's opinion you're entitled to as long as you do this in an appropriate manner.

If such problems persist and increase, I will switch on IP logging and I will ban IP addresses if necessary.

First off, I cannot believe how this meme has taken off. I love it and all the awesome fills and prompts. Keep being awesome.
